The Travel Certificate in France is required by the health authorities of France to contact travelers coming from outside of the country. The information mentioned in the certificate helps in finding the travelers and contacting them in case they have ever been affected by the Corona Virus. The information to be filled in the certificate includes personal information, information about the country you are traveling from, health records, information about previous stays, etc.

How and when to apply for France PLF

The traveler must apply for the France PLF 72 hours before the tour to prevent any delays. The traveler must also have a valid passport, a payment method, and an authentic email address for the travel.

The France PLF needs to be filled in with personal information, information about the tour, medical status, places you have stayed, or places you will be staying in, etc. The form comes with a Quick Response QR code. This code helps with the authorization process. It only takes about five minutes to apply for the form. The form is useable only once.

After completion of the application form, we will prepare the document for you and will email it to you. You can then simply take a printout of the form and hand-sign it and show it to the authorities when you arrive for the immigration and authentication process.

Traveling to France is easy. It does not require any extra documents and also the fully vaccinated travelers do not need to isolate themselves. Only travelers from some restricted areas are not allowed to enter the country.

Traveling to France Vaccination rules

Traveling to France is easy if you are coming from any place and have France PLF. Tourism in France has opened from 9th June, 21 onwards. The only restrictions are for travelers coming from scarlet red list countries including United Kingdom UK. Travelers from these areas are not allowed for tourism purposes. After December 18th, the travelers will be allowed for only specific reasons even if they are fully vaccinated.

Scarlet Red List countries – The member states of the European Union, Liechtenstein, Norway, the Holy See, Switzerland, Andorra, Monaco, Iceland, or San Marino come under the list of countries that are marked Scarlet Red.

To enter France, you need a vaccination certificate or some other equivalent document. If you are a vaccination certificate holder and come from a non-restricted area then you do not need to follow isolation rules or show negative PCR tests.

Certification Criteria

France welcomes all the travelers from each part of the World except the high-risk scarlet red list areas such as Member State of the European Union, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Monaco, the Holy See, San Marino, or Andorra. All travelers must apply for the France Travel Certificate to enter the country.

To apply for the Registration document online, you are required to fill in the France PLF with health status and other information. The entrance in the country is allowed only if you have the travel certificate, and either a negative PCR test result held 48 hours before departure or a negative rapid antigen test result taken 48 hours before departure or a vaccination certificate.

After the form is filled and submitted online, a France Travel Certificate is prepared and sent to the email provided by the traveler. The printout of the form with hand signatures is enough for the authorities to validate your entry into France.

Vaccination Criteria, PCR test and Quarantine Policy befor travel to France

A traveler is considered fully vaccinated if

  • One week has passed after the second shot of AstraZeneca, Pfizer, or Moderna.
  • Four weeks have passed after the single-shot vaccines such as Johnson & Johnson.
  • The people who have recovered from the disease are required to have proof of the single-shot vaccine taken one week ago.
  • One week has passed after the booster dose or after two shots of the vaccines on the emergency list of the World Health Organization.

Acceptable Vaccines

Acceptable vaccines are Moderna, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Sinovac or Coronavac, and Sinopharm or BBIB-PveroCells.

PCR COVID-19 test for unvaccinated

An antigen COVID-19 or a negative PCR test result is a necessary document for travel for those who are not vaccinated. The traveler must have either a negative PCR test result taken 48 hours before departure or a negative rapid antigen test result taken 48 hours before departure or a vaccination certificate or a positive PCR test certificate older than 10 days and less than 6 months. The isolation period depends on the countries marked with different colors.

Quarantine Policy

The quarantine policy depends on the circumstances of an individual.

Fully vaccinated travelers do not need to isolate themselves when they arrive in the country.

If a traveler is from the UK, then they need to show a negative PCR test result taken 24 hours before departure and follow a quarantine of one week.

The traveler coming from red list areas needs to follow a quarantine of ten days.

Travelers coming from the scarlet red list or restricted areas are bound to isolate themselves for 10 days.
